Cognitive Concerns
Whether issues develop over time or arise overnight, any change that affects your life negatively can be both frustrating and confusing. We are here to help you understand what is happening and what to do next.
Our Process
1. Assess
We collect information through a thorough interview, medical record review, and objective tests used to examine attention, memory, language, problem solving and other skills. To help extend our understanding of the case, the client and their family members will also complete questionnaires.
2. Piece the puzzle together
We then analyze and synthesize the data obtained to examine our client’s strengths and weaknesses and to better understand his/her behaviors and emotions.
3. Diagnose
Once we have synthesized the data, we are able to determine whether our client meets the clinical criteria of a disorder.
4. Provide Recommendations
We will then provide suggestions based upon the data as to what should be most helpful to the client in areas of health, occupation and relationships.
